Unwired View: AT&T Samsung Propel Review

  • lesliewright · 11 months ago
I just bought a new Samsung Propel over the holiday and I love my phone. It is the dream phone for one who loves to text. It was ideal for me because I do not trust the touch screens yet and I love the way the phone is locked when it is not opened. In the past, I had problems with my phones dialing the last person I talked to when I unintentionally hit keys on the phone. If you love to text, I strongly recommend this phone. I have heard people complain about the battery. However, the battery has to be charged just like any other phone. You cannot expect it to go uncharged for days. Overall, I love it. Every phone has its faults you just have to pick the one that best fits you.

    Cons
The phone ring tone is not so loud making it somewhat hard to hear the phone ring when you are not close. In addition, it is somewhat thick especially if you purchase the case to go along with this phone.

I have used the phone since December 2nd, and am actually pleased with it. I am a 37 year old male, who doesnt do alot of texting, but I liked the physical size of the phone. No complaints, other than the GPS has NEVER connected. I actually cancelled the GPS service the other day at my local AT&T store. They had no explanation for it. Call quality is very good. Battery is good. Overall, this phone is a keeper!

I just got this phone a week ago and I'm having mixed emotions.

I love the design, the full keyboard is fabulous, and I always liked Samsung's user interface.

I bought this phone with unlimited texting and data, and boy am I glad I got those, as I didnt realize just how much I would love the mobile email!

On the cons, the Battery life is a little wonky It'll drop down to just one bar quickly and then stay on it for DAYS. The 3G network is always on if you're on AIM so it drains the batts pretty quick. This is by no means a smart phone. I bought this because I didnt want to pay for ATT's black berry service (freaking rip off) but I didnt realize MEdia net was still the current browser.

Well I have a few more days left to decide if I'm going to keep it or not.

I just got my phone a few days ago. I have spent most of my time just trying to run through it and figure it out, which has not taken very long. The slider action is very nice and the qwerty keyboard is very nice. The camera is much better than the phone i had before this, an old RAZR, and the overall functionality of the phone is amazing. I got it in green, and the color looks just plain cool.

I would recommend this phone for anyone who wants to text, or just needs a good, cost effective phone. I love it!!

I got my Propel February 21, and i absolutely love it. I love the keyboard, in fact. This is one of the best investments i've ever made. A little quiet, though.

Yes but...I really wanted to get a plain white phone and was disappointed (since my current Samsung is white) not to get it. I think they would have had a broader market mixing white with something else or nothing at all~
