The position of the d-pad makes perfect sense when you turn the device to landscape orientation (rather than portriat). Once you get used to using it to browse the internet, you'll never want to use a device without it! It is much easier to highlight HTML links with the arrow and directional pad rather than trying to click on them with a fat finger.

first of let me say i am not an LG or software tech and i tried this fix AT MY OWN RISK. that being said .... are you useing linux ubuntu if so this is what i did> dial ##3328873 hit send your menu will say DT enable or BT enable(i did both) once that is done set up your broadband #777 your cell number @ your service provider. net or .com the service provider name.

how did you get it to work as a modem. i can't seem to get mine to work.

the new lg tritan has issues if you change you phone# ..you can lose usb modem connect ..i have mine sine the 12th of june it ran fine on linux 9.04 as a usb modem until i had to change my number.
