Unwired View: Nokia N900 to be released in U.S. next week! Nov. 14th, to be exact

  • hapahaoleboy · 3 weeks ago
Hate to be a doubter, but the Newegg site has had that release date for more than week or so. I don't know if it's legit or not. But it seems like they posted it up their with the hope rather than concrete knowledge that they will release on the 14th.

I agree. Don't get you hopes to high! Just relax folks! The nokia USA website indicates it will be released at the end of November. I would say either November 23rd or the 30th.

That 14 November release date has been up for about a month now back when I preordered one. I wouldn't count this as fact that it is coming then. I personally think the software needs more tweaks before wide public release as I have been playing with a preproduction unit for a while now.

If i believe that. I am sure i will buy such a device some day but now I have to travel to Asia now so I canceled my N900 order and am going to take my old clunker laptop instead. By the time I am back there will surly be a half price clone of this fine device and maybe even with a built in laser projector too like the samsung phones have. ;)

Horrible headline! You cannot do this to us... not till you have a press release or a shipping notice or something concrete. We are beaten and we are battered, not much more we can take.

Are you kidding me? I keep hearing/reading about different carriers offering the Nokia n900 for free or minimal hardware costs with 2 year service contracts!!! This is insane! You know how HOT this phone would be if this is truly the case? What about the U.S.? There's been no word that I've seen that select carriers will offer similar deals. In fact we still pay about 50-75% of the full cost of phones when we sign up for 2 year agreements. Wtf? Why is the U.S. so bad when it comes to making new technologies accessible to John Q. Public.

NewEgg now says 11-30-2009 release date
  • Staska · 1 week ago
yep, they changed that from 14th few days ago

NewEgg is now saying Nov. 30. Nokia is shooting itself in the foot if it can't keep it's promises. I might just sit the n900 out at this point and wait for the rumored n920.
