I find it extremely useful and it works very well (Garmin XT).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm often out without my standalone GPS unit but I'm never out without my phone. I find the GPS so useful actually that I often don't bother with the standalone GPS.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also the 3.5mm jack is a winner. Up until now I'd never used the mp3 capabilites of my previous phones as I couldn't enjoy music through the hands free headsets.
