Maybe Samsung had decided to showing off an successor of the "old" omnia, also with HD-recording and WinMob 6.5 during the summer. IMHO that should be an possible reason.

I agree with the marketing. They should have stuck with the plan and not back out halfway. They could have just called it the samsung omnia 2 or 2nd generation.

Does anyone know which carriers the Samsung i8910 will going to?

I know it's GSM right now, but I was wondering if there would ever be a cdma version of it as well.
