Not only is your date "end of 09" wrong, here is another thing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Portland already has 4G WiMax service since December of 08. It was rolled out by "Clear" ISP.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.clear.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.clear.com/"&gt;http://www.clear.com/&lt;/a&gt;  as reported in Engaget back on Dec. 3rd 08.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/03/newly-dubbed-clear-wimax-service-hits-portland-oregon/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/03/newly-dubbed-clear-wimax-service-hits-portland-oregon/"&gt;http://www.engadget.com/200...&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Clear is 40% owned by Sprint, and Sprint will be using Clear's infrastructure to roll out its hybrid 3g/4g devices.
