the idea that only women like slim phones is ridiculous. Men don't carry purses and most don't want a huge chunk bulging out of their pocket.

Yeah. It's not a fact of women like little phones and men like big ones.
I for one (me being a guy) don't want to be carrying around a brick phone in my pocket.

This is a nice phone, and the style doesn't appear to be feminine at all?

I am happy with this phone with the exception of the battery life. The main reason I got a new phone (and contract) was because my 2-year old phone could not maintain a charge. However, it was doing better than this phone. I work 12 hour shifts and do not talk a lot on the phone. Yet, I am plugging it into the car charger by 1 or 2 o'clock even though it was fully charged before leaving the house. And, yes, one thing that really attracted me to this phone was that it was less than 1/2" thick, therefore fits inside my pocket easily without being bulky. I am an officer with limited space on my duty belt.
